My approach
Chart analysis is about pattern recognition. How does each individual point, planet, and object interconnect? Considering all of the pieces together is how the most meaningful insights emerge.
I look at the larger structure.
What patterns repeat? Which themes show through via different astrological indicators? Which planets or configurations weigh most heavily in the interpretation? How do ostensibly separate indicators in the charts connect?
That leads to understanding the charts - and your role in this system.
The Natal Promise
All astrological prediction begins with the natal promise.
The natal chart symbolizes innate patterns and potentials. Astrological techniques help to reveal when particular themes become active.
A forecast intuits connections between the natal chart, in its entirety, and forward-looking timing. When several indicators reveal the same theme, the astrological picture becomes more meaningful.
Structure and Timing
My work combines several fundamental queries.
What is the structure?
What are the major patterns, relationships, strengths, tensions, and recurring themes within the natal chart?
When is that structure activated?
Certain natal themes may activate at various times. Examine life's current conditions (progressions) and triggers/activators (transits).
Understanding the structure helps to explain the timing.
Understanding the timing helps to reveal how the natal promise unfolds.
Looking beyond the obvious
Essentially, I am a student of modern astrology. However, I also strive to uncover more arcane knowledge related to my field.
A great interest of mine developed, when I started looking at the hypothetical Transneptunians. They add another layer to chart analysis. And it's valuable. Not only have I been able to augment planetary analysis by using them, but I've also made predictions and obtained insights simply not available without them.
Synthesis
Synthesis is the heart of my approach.
Recurring themes; repetition; strong natal configurations; relationships among various items in the chart; and convergences among predictive techniques allow for action during favorable windows of time.
The point of a reading is not seemingly endless technical jargon. Organizing a complex system into a meaningful interpretation of your life and circumstances is the goal.
Prediction with perspective
Though I absolutely love prediction, astrology should not dictate a person's choices in life.
A forecast may suggest periods of increased activity, change, opportunity, challenge, or transition. How a person responds to those circumstances remains important.
I see astrology as a tool for awareness and perspective.
Knowing what the heavens will show in advance enables preparing, seeking greater opportunities, or recognizing that difficult phases are part of a larger process of change.
Astrology becomes meaningful when its symbols are connected to real life.
